RUBY NELL'S TURKEY DRESSING | |
3 pkgs. ready to make cornbread 1/2 loaf white bread 6 eggs 1 1/2 c. onions, chopped Salt to taste 1 1/2 c. chopped celery 8 c. chicken or turkey broth 3 heaping tsp. sage 2 tsp. black pepper Follow the directions on the ready to make cornbread packages. Crumble cornbread into bowl with 1/2 loaf of white bread. Add 6 eggs. Saute onions and celery in butter and add to bread mixture. Put in 8 cups of broth, the sage, the pepper and salt to taste. Cook in covered greased casserole dish for approximately 35 to 45 minutes. Serves 20. |
