BROWN SUGAR CHOCOLATE FROSTING 
2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. plus 3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
3 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix brown sugar, cocoa, shortening and milk in saucepan. Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture begins to boil around the edges. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy for spreading consistency. Stir in additional milk.
