PASTRY (NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST) 
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. shortening
1 tbsp. vinegar
Water

Mix shortening with dry ingredients. Break egg into measuring cup. Add one tablespoon of vinegar. Fill remainder of cup with cold water. Add to mixture; mix well. Use in favorite pie recipes. Makes large batch, 5 or more pie shells.
