1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Cover with chocolate chips and put in oven to melt. Spread the chips around when they are melted.
