GRANDMA'S CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 egg yolks, beaten
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt unsweetened chocolate in boiling water. Add sugar and cornstarch mixed together. Cook 10 minutes. Add egg yolks, stirring constantly. Add butter. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell.

Meringue: Beat 2 egg whites and 1 tablespoon sugar. Brown daintily.

Note: You can substitute 3 tablespoons cocoa for unsweetened chocolate.
