2 c. of all purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt or salt substitute
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. sour cream

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add shortening and cut or rub into flour mixture. Stir in 1/2 cup milk with a fork, gradually add sour cream to make a soft almost sticky dough.

Turn dough out on lightly floured cloth or board and knead just until smooth. Roll dough out about 1/2 inch thick and cut with floured cutter. Place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
