VANILLA CREME SANDWICH COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. heavy cream
2 c. sifted flour

FILLING:

1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring

Mix all ingredients - chill thoroughly 1 1/2 hours. Roll out 1/8 inch thick or a little thicker. Cut with small glass. Place on wax paper and sprinkle with sugar, turn and sugar reverse. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Pierce top with fork. Bake at 375 degrees until puffy but not brown, 8 to 10 minutes.

Blend filling ingredients together for cookies.
