BAKED ASPARAGUS AND CHEESE SANDWICHES | |
Lay 6 slices bread (crusts removed) in greased 9x13 inch pan. Top with 6 slices Swiss cheese. Beat together: 2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion Pour over cheese and bake in 325 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Top with 1 can asparagus, drained. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese and return to oven another 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. |
