TEXAS STYLE CORN BREAD 
1 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 c. butter
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 (8 3/4 oz.) can cream style corn
1/2 lb. jalapeno pepper process cheese, cubed

Combine dry ingredients. Add milk, eggs, butter and onion, mixing just until moistened. Stir in corn and cubed process cheese. Pour into 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 40 minutes. Serve warm.
