FLUFFY WHITE FROSTING | |
1 c. granulated sugar 1/3 c. water 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar Dash of salt 2 unbeaten egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla Combine sugar, water, cream of tartar and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Very slowly add to unbeaten egg whites in mixing bowl, beat constantly until a stiff peak is formed. Beat in vanilla. Frost top and sides of two 9 inch layers or tube cake. I use shredded coconut on frosting. Easy version of 7 minute frosting. |
