2 tbsp. soft butter 1 pkg. dry yeast 1 c. warm water 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. flour 1 egg In large bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Stir in sugar, salt, 1/2 of flour. Beat until smooth. Add egg and butter. Beat in remaining flour until smooth. Seal bowl and let rise in warm place until double in size, approximately 45 minutes. Grease cookie sheet. Punch down dough. Turn down on floured surface, press dough flat, cut with cutter. Place on cookie sheet. Let rise again. Brush with melted butter. Bake in preheated oven, 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. |
