4 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 c. butter 4 tsp. caraway seeds 2 eggs 3/4 c. buttermilk 3/4 c. beer Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter; add caraway seeds. Beat together eggs, buttermilk, and beer; add to flour mixture, all at once, to make a soft dough. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll to fit loaf pan. Slash top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. |
