BEER BREAD 
1 c. Bock beer
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
3 tbsp. soft butter
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. wheat germ
3 to 3 1/4 c. flour

Warm beer in large mixing bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top, let stand 3 to 5 minutes. Add half of flour along with sugar, salt and beaten egg. Beat until smooth.

Mix in butter with remaining flour and wheat germ. Add flour a little at a time, spreading dough through fingers to blend in ingredients. Add flour until dough cleans the bowl. Knead, let rise. Knead and put into pans. Bake 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
