NORWEGIAN PUFF PASTRY 
1 cup flour
1 cup butter, divided
1 cup + 2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. almond flavoring
1 cup flour
3 eggs

Cut 1/2 cup butter into flour, add 2 Tbsp. water. Round into 2 balls. Pat out dough into 2 long strips 3 x 12 on ungreased cookie sheet. Bring 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water to a boil. Add almond flavoring. Remove from heat. Add flour. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well by hand. Place this evenly over strips and bake 60 minutes at 350°F. After cooled, frost.

Frosting:

1 cup powdered sugar
Vanilla or almond flavoring
A little milk

Combine ingredients.
