GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
6-7 tbsp. cold water
3 lbs. apples
3/4 c. sugar
A little cinnamon & butter

CUSTARD:

1 egg
1 tbsp. sugar

Put egg and sugar in measuring cup and fill it up with milk.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out dough and place in large flat pan like a cookie sheet (grease pan). Press dough on pan in sections and on side of pan. Peel and cut apples in quarters and place on dough in a row. Sprinkle the sugar, cinnamon over apples and dot with butter. Bake in oven, when apples are done pour custard over them starting at center of pan. Bake another 10 minutes or until custard is set.
