CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. (18 1/2 oz.) white cake mix
1 1/4 c. rolled oats, divided
1/2 c. butter, divided, softened
1 egg
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. brown sugar

In a bowl combine cake mix, 1 cup of oats and 6 tablespoons butter. Mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup for topping. With remaining crumbs add egg and mix well. Press into greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Spread pie filling over crust.

To reserved crumbs add remaining butter, oats, nuts and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly. (Sprinkle over pie filling.) Bake in 350 degree F. oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into 12 or more bars.
