FRESH PEAR BREAD 
1/2 c. butter, oil or butter
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. plain yogurt
1 c. coarsely chopped cored pears
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream oil, butter. Gradually beat in sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Combine dry ingredients; add to egg mixture alternately with yogurt. Stir in pears and vanilla. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
