FRENCH ONION SOUP 
3 lg. onions
1/2 c. butter
6 beef bouillon cubes
4 c. hot water
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
4 slices French bread
8 slices Swiss cheese

In a large skillet, cook onions in butter until lightly browned. In a pot, combine beef bouillon cubes and hot water; add cooked onions with butter, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Just before serving, top each bowl with 1 slice toasted French bread and 2 slices Swiss cheese. Pop under broiler until cheese is melted and bubbly.
