BLUEBERRY GINGERBREAD | |
1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. shortening (bacon fat) 1 egg 1/2 c. sour milk 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda & salt 1 tsp. ginger 1/2 c. molasses 1 c. blueberries Cream shortening and sugar together; beat in eggs. Add soda, salt, ginger to flour mixture and sift. Add milk and flour to sugar mixture; mix. Beat in molasses. Save a bit of the flour to mix with blueberries before adding them to the mixture. |
