SWEET AND SOUR GREEN BEANS 
1 lb. green beans, fresh
4 slices bacon
1 sm. onion, chopped
3/4 c. water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar

Place green beans and water in microwave safe dish. Cover and microwave on high 14 to 16 minutes stirring once half way through. When done, microwave bacon four minutes on high. Save drippings. Saute onions in small amount butter until soft. Crumble bacon and put onion on beans. Pour water used to cook beans in a cup, add some of the bacon drippings, sugar, and vinegar. Stir and pour over beans. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
