ROCKY ROAD COOKIES 
COOKIE:

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shortening
2 sqs. melted chocolate
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts

FROSTING:

1 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. milk
2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. miniature marshmallows

COOKIES - Sift together flour, sugar, powder, salt. Add - shortening, chocolate, eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix to blend, then beat 2 minutes. Drop on sheet and bake 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and frost.

CHOCOLATE-MARSHMALLOW FROSTING - In top of double boiler over simmering water, melt chocolate in milk; stir until smooth. Remove from heat and beat in sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Cool slightly; fold in marshmallows. Spread on cooled cookies.
