FRUIT AND NUT MUFFINS 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. cut up cherries
1/2 c. cut up dates
1/2 c. chopped nuts

In a bowl, cream butter and sugar, add egg and applesauce. Mix together to dry sifted ingredients, vanilla and add fruits and nuts. Mix by hand into the applesauce mixture. Grease 12 muffin tins or paper liners. Fill with batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
