GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
3 eggs
1 c. Wesson or Crisco oil
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour (all-purpose)
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. tart apples (diced and peeled)
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Beat the eggs with the salad oil. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating. When well blended, add vanilla.

Sift together and add to the above, the soda, flour, salt and cinnamon. Stir in the diced apples and nuts.

Bake in greased 9x13 inch pan in a 325 degree oven for 50-60 minutes.

Top with the following frosting. 3 tbsp. softened butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped nuts 2 c. confectioners' sugar

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Spread on the cake while it is still warm.
