Made this on 11 10 22, but I used Splenda instead of sugar and the Splenda brown sugar, it turned out delicious. Thanks so much for the recipe. It will be my go to now.

Doubled the recipe and used Honey Crisp apples. Definitely a great addition to our Thanksgiving dinner. Served warm with Breyer's Vanilla ice cream! Delicious! :) And incredibly easy to prepare and bake.

My daughter-in-law made this with blueberries instead of apples, served warm with cool whip, it was heavenly good !

I decided to quadruple the second half of the recipe, so that there would be a thick coating on the entire thing. I'll see how it turns out once it's done, as I just put it in the oven. :)

I agree that the recipe needs to be doubled if you are using a casserole dish.

I used Honeycrisp apples and also generously sprinkled toffee bits over the apples before adding the topping and it was wonderful served with ice cream.

There were only 4 of us for dinner and there is only one small serving left! Will definitely make this often!

This recipe was a success. I only had 1/8 Cup of butter on hand, and it worked just fine.

When they say "casserole dish," they're definitely talking about an 8 x 8. Probably serves 6 people. If you're making it for a larger party, I would absolutely double the recipe.

I used golden delicious, but I'm sure other types would work.
