RED STOVE FRONT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Add the 1/2 cup boiling water to cocoa. Let stand. Cream sugar and butter; add eggs, then buttermilk and flour alternately. Add the soda to the cocoa water mixture. Add to the rest of the cake. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

CHOCOLATE FUDGE ICING:

2 c. white sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. white syrup

Cook until soft ball in cold water. Remove form heat, cool. Beat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
