2 stick (1 c.) butter 1 lb. box light brown sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. coconut Melt butter and stir together with brown sugar. Cool slightly and add eggs and vanilla. Dump in flour, salt, baking powder, and coconut. From here you may add 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips or cut up dates as you wish. Beat well and turn into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool in pan, then cut into bars. These freeze well. |
