SKILLET CORN BREAD 
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tbsp. melted bacon grease

Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Mix the cornmeal with salt, egg and buttermilk. Add hot melted bacon grease. Put into greased iron skillet and bake at 375 degrees until done.
