1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 lb. dates
2 c. nuts
1 lb. orange slice candy
1 can coconut
4 tsp. baking soda

Mix and cook in loaves or tube pan at 350 degrees about 2 hours for tube or about 1 hour for loaves.

ICING:

1/2 cup orange fill up cup with sugar, do not stir, let stand until cake is done. Dip over cake while hot.
