HOBO BREAD 
1 c. hot water
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 egg
3 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 empty soup cans

Pour hot water over raisins and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from fire. Stir in soda. Put other ingredients in bowl, pour in raisins and liquid. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour in greased cans which have been filled a bit more than half full. Cool, remove bottom can lid and slide bread out with knife.
