ALMOND JOY BROWNIES 
1 1/2 c. plus 3 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. coarsely chopped almonds
1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
9 tbsp. butter melted
3 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp. almond extract

Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Add butter, eggs and almond extract and stir. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mixture. Spread batter into a greased 9 x 12 inch baking pan.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut brownies into 2 inch squares. Enjoy!
