ELLEN'S ICE CREAM PIE 
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
1 qt. vanilla ice cream
2 baked pie shells
Whipped cream

Defrost and drain strawberries well. Add water to juice to make 2 1/2 cups liquid. Heat to boiling. Remove from heat. Dissolve gelatin in hot liquid, stirring well. Add ice cream by spoonfuls, stirring until melted. Chill until thick, but not quite set. Fold in berries. Pour into 2 baked pie shells. Chill until firm. Serve with whipped cream on top. Delicious. (Equally good using frozen raspberries and raspberry gelatin.)
