MRS. E. J. BISHOP SR.'S PRUNE
CAKE
 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 c. stewed prunes
2 c. flour
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
2 c. nuts

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Combine all dry ingredients. Alternate flour mixture and milk into egg mixture. Add prunes and nuts. Bake in 3 cake pans or a tube pan. Icing of your own choice.
