CHICKEN AND RICE DINNER 
2 c. reg. rice (not instant)
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 stick butter
2 cans cream of chicken soup
Enough chicken pieces to fill 9x13 dish

Grease bottom and sides of 9x13 dish with butter. Cover bottom of dish with uncooked rice. Place several large pieces of butter on rice. Salt and pepper chicken; place on rice. Spoon soup over chicken. Sprinkle dry soup mix evenly over chicken. Add water to almost cover chicken, approximately 2 cups. Cover with foil and bake 3 hours at 300 degrees. Remove foil and brown for about 10-15 minutes.
