3 lb. round steak or ribs Garlic--as desired 2 c. water 2 bouillon--chicken cubes 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. vinegar 3 tbsp. soy sauce 3 tbsp. cornstarch Cut up ribs or round steak to bite size pieces. Brown with garlic. Pour off grease from meat. Simmer with 1 cup water, 1 chicken bouillon cube for 10 minutes. Add 1 cup water, 1 chicken bouillon cube, 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup vinegar, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons cornstarch. Bring to boil until thick. May add 1/2 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch to help thicken. After thickened put in oven--with a covering. Bake 300-350 degrees for 1 hour. |
