SCALLOPED SAUSAGE AND POTATOES | |
1 lb. bulk pork sausage (Jones) 4 med. potatoes, pared and thinly sliced (4 c.) 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 4 oz. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 1 1/2 c. milk Break sausage into small pieces in skillet, brown lightly and drain well. Place half of potatoes in 2-quart casserole, sift half the flour over potatoes and half the salt. Top with half the sausage, then half the cheese. Repeat with other half of potatoes, flour, salt, sausage and cheese. Pour milk over all. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes more. So good. Serves 4-6. |
