FRUIT SALAD WORLD WAR 1 RECIPE 
2 lg. apples
4 oranges
3 bananas
1 (No. 2) can sliced pineapple, diced, do not use pineapple juice

Make a sauce of 1 whole grated lemon and the juice of another lemon, 1 beaten egg, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk and a dash of salt,. Mix all together and cook over low heat until it boils. Let cool and pour over the cut fruit.
