MAYONNAISE CAKE 
1 c. dates, cut up
1 c. boiling water
1 c. walnuts (chopped)
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix and let stand until cool.

2 c. flour
1 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa or chocolate

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch or bundt cake pan, or layered if desired. Frost with chocolate icing.
