MARSHMALLOW EGGS | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. boiling water Pinch of salt 2 env. Knox gelatin 2 tbsp. cold water 1 1/2 tsp. flavoring Coloring Dissolve Knox in 2 tablespoons cold water. Add boiling water, sugar, and salt. Beat until thick on high (10 to 15 minutes). Add flavoring and coloring. In Advance: Prepare molds by putting 2" flour in flat pans (cake pans). Take real egg and make indentations in flour. Pour marshmallow by spoonfuls into mold. Set 1 to 2 hours. CHOCOLATE COATING: 2 lg. chocolate bars 1 lg. pkg. real chocolate chips 1" square paraffin wax Melt in double boiler. Cool chocolate and dip. Place on wax paper in cool place until set. Decorate. Dipping chocolate can also be used. Omit wax. Makes 40 to 60 small eggs or about 20 medium size (plastic egg). |
