SIMPLE BREAD 
2 1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. active dry yeast
1/2 c. instant nonfat dry milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
7 to 7 1/2 c. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat well after each addition. Let dough set for 20 minutes. Knead (5 minutes or so, pounding and kneading). Divide in half, put in pans. Let rise. Bake. Makes 2 loaves.
