1 c. butter or shortening
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 lg. eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix together the shortening, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Dip a fork in flour and press into the top of the cookie to squash them down and make the traditional mark of peanut butter cookies, pressing first one way and then the other.

Bake 325°F for 15 minutes.
