APPLE OR CHERRY SLICES 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
2 egg yolks
8 tbsp. cold water

Mix like pie crust and chill. Roll half of dough into rectangle and put into cake pan (line pan). Add can of cherry pie filling or apple. Put other half of rolled out dough on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 3/4 to 1 hour. When cool frost with thin powdered sugar frosting.
