CABBAGE CHOWDER 
4 c. shredded cabbage
2 c. sliced carrots
3 c. diced potatoes
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
4 c. milk

Place all ingredients except butter and milk in a kettle and cook over low heat until vegetables are done. Add the butter and milk and heat through. 8 servings.
