“BUTTERMILK FUDGE” IS IN:

BUTTERMILK FUDGE 
2 cups sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup (Karo)
1 cup buttermilk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients except vanilla and nuts in very deep heavy boiler.

Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture forms a soft ball in cold water (234-240°F on candy thermometer).

Remove from heat and beat until creamy; add nuts and vanilla. Put into greased pan.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.

Makes 24 servings.
