NANA'S APPLE PIE 
PASTRY:

2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oil
4 tbsp. ice water

PASTRY: Stir until mixed and form into a ball (it will be oily). Divide in half. Roll out between 2 pieces of wax paper, until size of pie pan.

FILLING:

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Dash of salt

FILLING: Mix and slice thin 3 to 4 tart apples. Sprinkle 1/2 of the sugar mixture over bottom pie crust. Place apples over mixture. Put the remaining sugar mixture over the apples. Cut 1/2 stick butter in pieces over apples. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon water over apples. Place top crust over apples and seal crusts together at edges and trim. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over crust and dot 1/2 stick butter over crust also. Sprinkle cinnamon also. Cut slits in crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
