HEATH CANDY BARS | |
1 c. butter 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 tsp. baking soda 12 oz. pkg. MILK chocolate chips Saltine crackers Line a cookie sheet (approximately 15 x 10 inches) bottom and sides with foil. Lay saltine crackers on the bottom of cookie sheet, side by side, flat to cover entire pan. Boil for 1 minute; butter and brown sugar. Add soda and stir well. Pour over crackers and bake 8 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove from oven and sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips. Put back in oven for one minute to soften the chips. Spread evenly over crackers with the spatula or back of a spoon. Let cool and refrigerate until set. Break in pieces to eat. Tastes just like Heath bars. |
