Recently made this cake and I have to say, it's one of the best cakes my husband and I have ever had! It is, indeed, very moist and so delicious you just might ruin it by putting icing on! We'd had a bunch of apples given to us and thus the need for a really good applesauce cake,....and we found it! Will be making this again at Christmas! (one tiny ingredient I added was about a half tsp. of salt...and pecans instead of walnuts:)
