KATE'S CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS 
4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 level tbsp. baking powder
3/4 c. oil
1 1/2 c. water
1 frying chicken, cut up
Water
1 lg. can cream
1 stick butter
2 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix first 5 ingredients. Divide into thirds. Roll out on dough board, adding flour as necessary. Roll thin and cut in strips. Put chicken in 8 quart pot, cover with water and cook on medium heat until almost tender.

Add cream, butter, milk, salt and pepper to taste. Cook until tender. Total time approximately 35 minutes. Take chicken out of stock; add dumplings to boiling stock. Reduce heat and cook until tender.
