SOPAPILLAS 
Use 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder for each cup of flour, 1/2 tablespoon of lard to each cup of flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt to each cup of flour, and enough warm water to knead a stiff dough. Knead on floured table until elastic and smooth. Roll out thin; cut into squares or circles and deep fry in 400 degree oven. Place on paper towels. Roll in powdered sugar if desired and serve hot with honey dribbled over them.
