OVEN SOUP 
Soup bone and-or soup meat
1 onion
3 carrots
2 celery ribs
4 potatoes
Rice, barley, noodles, etc.
Desired soup vegetables

Put soup bone and meat in Dutch oven. Cover with approximately 1 quart water and bring to boil. Add 1 onion, cut in half; 3 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces; 2-3 cups celery, cut in large pieces (include leaves). Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 1/2-3 hours, or 300 degrees all day.

Remove and throw away vegetables. Remove bone and take off meat; put meat back in pot. Add potatoes, carrots, celery, or whatever vegetables are desired; also barley, noodles, or rice, as desired. Add salt, pepper, and spices to taste. Simmer until vegetables are cooked through.
