RHUBARB SPICE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
2 c. rhubarb

Cream the sugar, shortening and eggs. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. Mix alternately with milk and creamed mixture. Add rhubarb. Put in greased 9"x13" pan. Mix 4 or 5 teaspoons sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle on top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
